The main difference between the Marantz MCR 612 Melody X in black and silver lies exclusively in the colour and design, not in the technical specifications. - Colour and design: The only difference between the two models is the colour of the housing. One version is in black, the other in silver/gold. - Technical specifications: There are no differences in the technical specifications between the two colour variants. Both models have the same performance features, such as 2 x 60 W or 4 x 30 W output, HEOS Multiroom technology, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth and support for various music streaming services. The price difference of 81 francs could be due to various factors such as stock levels, sales strategies or regional pricing policies, but there are no technical differences between the two colour variants.

There is an aerial connection that also works for DAB+. I have connected the supplied aerial in the room and have DAB reception. Greetings RB

Automatically generated from the .Most probably the CD-ROM is broken. I had the same problem with my previous receiver where the CD-ROM had gone. The manufacturers no longer pay much attention to quality drives in their devices. It's a rather old one. Today with USB and Internet... There are hi-fi freaks who can mend old and new electronic devices.
I bought speakers from the Teufel brand to go with it. Kind regards Lino
Actually there is no difference only the way it is written, this is Series X M -CR 612 is available in black and silver, top device good Marantz quality
I would guess a defect. My device works perfectly.
The DAB/FM is a standard 75 Ohm coax connection, which to my knowledge is never equipped with a power supply. The manual does not indicate anything of the kind. Unfortunately, I do not know whether the USB connection is sufficient to supply power to the active antenna.
We don't know anything about this problem so far. We have forwarded your question to the community so that another customer may be able to answer your question.
I would advise against buying it. Airplay does not work properly. It keeps dropping out. Have used it with 2 ipads and 2 iphones (all software up to date)...no one can explain where this is coming from not even Marantz themselves. Very disappointed with the product. Only have this problem with this receiver.
Hello, this can only be due to the internet access. I don't have a very fast WILAN either, but it only takes a few seconds. Before I had an M-CR610, it took a bit longer.
No, the Internet radio stations can be received without further ado. Of course, an Internet connection is required.
Thank you for the info. We have immediately forwarded this for correction.
Dimensions CR612 in cm: W=28 D=30 H=11 I don't know the Marantz1607 7.1. Why an additional tuner? The CR612 has a decent DAB+/FM tuner built in.
The unit has an analogue input, but no preamplifier for record players. See also manual http://manuals.marantz.com/MCR612/EU/DE/index.php
I've had the Melody X for a couple of weeks, internet radio works there with TuneIn, free so far. think it should be in the Heos app.
It also has a DAB antenna. Otherwise, you can tune into any radio station via HEOS and save it under your favourites. You can find more information on the Marantz page. https://www.marantz.de/de/mobile/products/pages/productdetails.aspx?catid=speakerdocks&subcatid=0&productid=melodyxmcr612
I bought the receiver a few weeks ago. The network connection is under the USB port (not visible in the picture).
Yes, it's the MCR612.
Yes, that shouldn't be a problem. Check out the back of the article here: https://www.marantz.com/de-de/product/network-audio-players/m-cr612
