This is not included and must be purchased separately. It only comes with a cable that has a USB-C plug on both sides. The power supply unit must also be purchased separately or most people probably already have it at home.
If the Roam isn't charging (cable or charging station) it switches off automatically (it's programmable in the settings) and to switch it on you physically have to switch it on again. I hope that makes sense.
Roam2 is battery-powered and has a good sound; you could also pair them for a better, room-filling stereo sound.
I believe there are also other Sonos with Accu, but I don't know them.
Greetings
Yes, the speaker can be charged via a USB-C cable and then offers up to 10 hours of wireless music playback, even outdoors. It supports both USB-C charging and wireless charging according to the Qi standard and is designed for mobile use with an integrated battery.
Yes, several devices can be controlled separately and independently of each other via the Sonos app. The app makes it possible to play different content in different rooms and control each device individually.
The product cannot be connected directly to a Sonos soundbar via Bluetooth. Bluetooth on the Sonos Roam 2 allows connection to Bluetooth-enabled devices, but not directly to Sonos soundbars, which are typically connected via the Sonos network. However, you can group the Roam 2 with a soundbar via the Sonos network to synchronise audio if both devices are part of the same Sonos system.
Yes I had the same problem . It would not start even after hours of charging on the wireless charge station and also with the USB Cable. I ended up sending it back to Digitec and they replaced it with a new one after 2 weeks as it was still in warranty. I've read in some forums that this is fault with Roam 2 models
Hello Community
I've been using a Sonos Roam 2 since the end of November and I've been really impressed so far. The Roam is generally always on the charging station.
But today it wouldn't switch on. Despite all my efforts, the orange light (=charging) on the charging station didn't switch on. I connected it to a charger via USB-C. Orange light came on = charging. I was amazed when the orange light went out again after about 5 seconds. I could have sworn that the orange light was on the whole time as long as the battery was not fully charged. After an hour, I unplugged it again, switched it on, put it on the charging station, the orange light (=charging) came on and I listened to music. After about an hour, it switched off and there was no orange light. Dead!
Has anyone else experienced this (mis)behaviour?
Although the Sonos Roam 2 can be connected to other devices via Bluetooth, a direct connection to a TV via Bluetooth is not the optimal or recommended method for playing TV signals.
- The Roam 2 supports Bluetooth 5.2 for audio streaming, but this is primarily for connecting to mobile devices or other audio sources, not specifically for connecting to TVs.
- For better integration and playback of TV signals, it would be advisable to use other Sonos products such as the Sonos Beam or Sonos Arc, which are specifically designed to connect to TVs and offer additional functions such as HDMI-ARC and eARC.
However, if your TV supports Bluetooth and you only want to stream audio, you can connect the Roam 2 via Bluetooth, but this could result in a loss of quality or delays. It is therefore not the recommended solution for TV connectivity.
The volume of the Sonos Roam 2 can be limited by various settings, aunque there is no specific function for a permanent volume limit.
- You can manually adjust the volume via the Sonos app and set a preferred volume.
- There is also the option to use the reminder functions or the automated settings in the app to ensure that the volume is limited in certain situations or at certain times.
However, there is no fixed, permanent limit to the maximum volume that applies regardless of the user settings.
