This can make sense, Sonos also sells bundles with Sub and Arc. The new Sonos devices are actually all compatible with each other.
Unfortunately not, only with the Sonos system... 🙋🏻♂️
Hello, as far as I know and I use it myself, the control only works via another Sonos device such as the Sonos ARC. However, you can only get a definitive statement from Sonos Support itself or the operating instructions.
Yes, I have the set up you are describing. And I took the same decision. I have a friend with the big sub and is amazing. However, with small rooms it looks too much. With the Sub Mini is balanced. On certain films is impressive. However, you don’t feel it is there always with Music. But if you modify the parameters on the app and you increase the Sub you can notice a difference. However, afterwards is too remarkable with the films. To conclude, it is a good option, for small rooms more than enough.
I have the Sub Mini in combination with a Beam and 2 One as surround speakers, works great. As long as your speakers are all supported by the S2 app, you should be able to link them together without any problems. I myself am very happy with the Sub Mini, it fits wonderfully in my flat and supports the audio setup very finely but audibly.

The Sub Mini can connect to most amplified Sonos products running S2 software. However, the Sub Mini cannot be connected to non-amplified or portable products such as the Connect, Port, Move, Roam and Roam SL.
