Almost twice as expensive as the competition, but with an additional four USB-A ports with 10Gbit - that actually sounds OK. Unfortunately, these ports are unreliable when used with some devices. My LaCie Rugged external hard drives kept ejecting unexpectedly, so it's only a matter of time before the file system is corrupted. These hard drives have worked perfectly for years on an older USB hub.
Perhaps a firmware upgrade would help, but an update to the current version 40.1 is currently not offered for macOS. This may be Apple's fault, but it doesn't change the fact that CalDigit is selling an incorrectly functioning device.
Addendum: Obtained a Windows PC and upgraded to firmware 40.1. Problem still exists.
I have been waiting for a response from CalDigit support for more than a month...

I had problems with an old Thunderbolt 3 dock from Belkin, this has solved everything! Top.

Unfortunately, there is no similar product on the market that is as good. But you also have to pay a little for it. However, if you have a lot of connections and use both USB-C and USB-A, I can only recommend this.
The build quality is really good, the thing is very compact and you can also rotate it in any way so that the connections fit the way you need them.
