Price-performance is unbeatable. Size is ideal if you are on the road a lot. Softboxmount is not quite ideal, because it still needs an adapter (I have everything still Elinchrom softboxes)

Pop!
The characteristic sound of the studio flash - outdoors.
300W of muscle for 1Kg. Honestly this flash is far from being a gadget.
Colorimetrically stable, over 300 full power flashes on the same battery, light, small. It is at ease in the studio as well as on location. This little flash full of character is a serious model for an advanced or professional photographer.
Yes, professional.
I started at Godox/Pixapro with the AD360, because I wanted a powerful, lightweight cobra flash. I travel a lot. Take flashes to hard to reach places and I couldn't afford to take Elinchrom, Broncolor or Profoto flashes. Too big, too heavy.
So when the AD200 and Pro came along, I stayed with the manufacturer. There was no smaller and more powerful! Since then the manufacturers influence each other, so much the better.
The release of this AD300 Pro marks the seriousness of the brand and is a quality competitor to the giants of the sector. But why this price difference?
The design is basic (Elinchrom or Eizo too by the way), the construction is good, but the plastics reflect an economic choice more than aesthetic or functional. A Chinese engineer is also cheaper than a German or Swiss engineer.
So my choice was made on the versatile side of the object. Given its price, I am not afraid to use it in rough conditions - I can take more creative risks.
I can't recommend it enough!

Great and very convenient compact flash with a lot of power. Proprietary Godox mount limits your choice of modifiers (like to 3 or 4 in total). Adapters allow you to attach Bowens, Profoto and Elinchrom, but it increases the size overall and takes from "Small" advantage.
