HP Advanced Cleaning Kit
HP Advanced Cleaning Kit
Frustrated, I then found a solution on YouTube that gave me an almost very good result with about 3h' of effort. Careful cleaning with lint-free, flat (ALDI / LIDL) kitchen paper and a mixture of 50% ISOPROPANOL 99% and 50% hot water. Made approx. 10 times.... Afterwards let it dry for 2 hours. AND: Never switch off the printer for a longer period of time, otherwise the print head cannot clean itself or the ink dries up. A possible link: https://www.youtube.com/watch. Well, maybe it works for you too.

Does not bring any improvement over cleaning stage 2. The kit consists of a few square centimetres of foam glued to paper.
Where to start... For some time now, my Officejet Pro X576dw printer has been printing streaks and dirt during intensive colour printing. Normal cleaning did nothing, so I did some research and found this "kit" here.
Ordered with delivery time through external warehouse approx. 3-5 days, manageable. Delivery date was then postponed, postponed, exceeded (with a nice mail from Digitec, I could simply cancel the order - ha) and I pretty much forgot that I had ordered this.
A few weeks after ordering, it finally arrived unexpectedly (delivered by DHL - strange, but I don't care). Then I saw that the package came from the Netherlands via the UK to Switzerland - what?
Well, that's not so bad. I opened the parcel and was surprised to find that the "kit" is not really a kit, but 2 papers with instructions in "every language" - at least the titles, the 1-sentence instructions are in English for all languages - what? It might be worth mentioning that you don't really need instructions, and practically everyone can speak English - so it doesn't matter.
The cleaning material consists of: 1 paper with foam, which you can see in the picture. Nothing else. And it's in US letter format instead of A4 - what?
Doesn't matter, it works anyway - I thought. I started the Advanced Cleaning Mode, loaded the paper, pulled it through once and then printed a test sheet. Streaks and impurities still there.
I repeated the procedure a total of 12 times, no visible improvement - what?
So what exactly is the product supposed to do? That's ridiculous! And what makes them think it's worth a good CHF 30 - what?
Tl;dr? - I'd rather throw 3x a ten in the shredder than buy this kit. HP disappoints once again.

ok so to summarize this,
we paid 73 chf for what ?
1 us format page with foam glued on it
2 pages with the "instruction" indicating to refer to the printer menus...
We received two "huge" boxes (relative to the sheet of paper) for something like 30 grams of material.
That is very expensive.
even worse, in my case it was useless as the stains came from the wheels.
the fair price should be 15 chf maximum.
