RØDE NT-USB Mini
It's probably an exaggeration, but I bought this for my home office. In these crazy times, you can treat yourself to something for your new office....
Anyway, it does its job. The microphone is a good 50 cm away from me on the table with the small, supplied magnetic stand. This is not podcast quality at this distance, but I sound much better with it than the others who use a headset microphone or even the laptop's own microphone...
The USB-C port should actually be an advantage. For me, it's more of a disadvantage. A USB-C plug does not go all the way into the case (not even the one from the included cable). That's actually not that unusual, because a USB-C plug is designed to be recessed a bit deeper into the case, and they're never actually inserted completely flush. In this micro, however, the plug is flush with the case and therefore it sticks out more. In addition to the optical aspect, you have the following problem: If you jiggle the plug, it can sometimes happen that the microphone "says goodbye", because the connection is of course not "bombproof". This is not a big deal (one unplug and plug is enough, then everything works again) but could be annoying if the cable is not fixed and moves frequently.
On a table, the cable is usually fixed enough (you don't slide the mic around on the table all the time). On a table, the cable is usually fixed enough (you don't move the mic around on the table all the time, if only because it would "rumble" with the listeners), and on a swivel arm it should be less of a problem.
Mobile is the so but only suitable if the connected cable can be fixed / not moved much.
The price is, for what you get, very reasonable. It is not even made in China, but in Australia. The human rights framework of the workers should also be worth what and apparently that does not necessarily cost much more.

I immediately ordered the Röde PSA1 swivel arm: the more directly in front of the face the mic is positioned, the better the voice recording. Now it's perfect!

Nice magnetic stand
This was bought as a Christmas present for a streaming gamer - unknown to us it does not have a mute button, which was an absolute showstopper and hence it was returned. If lack of a mute button is not an issue, then this is a very good buy.
