Positively surprised!
I was looking for a way for the kids to listen to Spotify without having to use their smartphones all the time. Once they have started the Spotify playlist on their phone, they can close the app and put their mobile away. On the Sonos Roam 2 you can fast-forward, rewind, pause, play, turn up and down the volume. You can use the Sonos app to set the sleep function or an alarm clock with any music you want. I've set up two Sonos Roam 2s in the living room and have them paired. The sound doesn't have to be loud, but you can hear every detail in the room in good quality. There are lots of music services in the Sonos app that you can use to listen to music. For example, SRF 3 radio or Swisspop etc. According to my research on the Internet, the Roam 2 are designed to be constantly connected to the mains plug without affecting the battery. I recommend this especially if the alarm function is set for the next morning. I am very enthusiastic about the Roam 2. I could imagine that if someone wants to listen to a lot of loud music, these small speakers are too weak. I haven't had any experience with larger Sonos speakers yet, but with two Roam 2s you can get a very good sound!

Ideal for classic cars
I bought the SONOS Roam 2 for my classic car (MINI Clubman from 1980). It fits perfectly in the glove compartment and has a great sound.

Complex initial setup, but with support for AirPlay 2.
The initial setup is tedious, you have to register with Sonos, which is completely unnecessary in my opinion. Then you have to install the app (only available for iOS, not for Mac) and set up the device.
Although I had already connected the speaker to the Wi-Fi by pressing a button via WPS, I had to enter the complete Wi-Fi password again manually in the app.
The manufacturer could easily improve the product with updates.
I am still concerned about one phenomenon: in the evening I had the battery 100% fully charged and the next morning only 33%. Although the device was switched off, maybe someone knows why?
If you don't know AirPlay yet, you should definitely google Airplay 2 vs Bluetooth.
