Tiptop for training
Due to the small size of the device is very good in conjunction with the Bose QC 20. Simply a rubber band around the device and the battery of the headphones and you can stow everything well in the waistband or pocket and train. It does not require any extra software on the PC, but can be used like an ordinary storage medium.
For those who the volume is not enough: I recommend either to use headphones with noise cancelling, or to adjust the songs by means of software on the PC so that the volume level of the songs is higher.
For me, the volume on medium level is always enough.

Bought the Sony NW for my son. Works perfectly even after intensive use.
I previously had an ancient iPod, which has now given up the ghost after years, and now wanted to part with all apple devices for good after switching smartphones.
Even after two weeks of trying to warm up to the Walkman, all I got from it was a resigned shake of the head. Here, the apple has the edge by far and a change only ended in disappointment for me. I would not buy it again and do not recommend it.

Actually, the player is okay and it does what it is supposed to, but the volume is just about sufficient with strong headphones (Marshall), if you use less strong headphones or even InEar "buttons",
the maximum volume is just totally insufficient.
Although I like SONY products, I can't recommend buying them :(
unless you have a hearing aid where you can amplify the sound xD
-Addendum: You can trick the volume limit a little:
Bass Off, in Equalizer-all the way down on Custom and then all the sliders up and save.
