Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Flex Mini
5 Ports
The Ubiquiti datasheet is only partially right. You can't configure most of the things the UI Controller does. VLANs on ports are either a single untagged one or all tagged with VLAN1 untagged. Ubiquiti has no plan to add more feature because the hardware is too limited.
Update: after 2 hours with UBNT support - the devices cannot be freed from the bricking --> 2x electronic scrap (in the truest sense). Paws off!
*************
ATTENTION: Bricked during the first firmware update - happened to me on all devices.
I have just adopted my Flex Mini and then updated it via the controller - big mistake, as can be read on many forums, the devices are bricked during the update (https://community.ui.com/releases...).
Recovery procedure is an absolute PITA - you have to set up a web server on a 192.168.1.x network (woe betide you if you operate on 10.0.0.1 or similar, then you must first create a new subnet), on which you then load the firmware and the Mini Flex is supposed to fetch it. It's great to have to do this during operation - a huge effort.
Hardware-wise they look good and are really small, nice product actually (therefore 2 stars).
Until the FW problem is fixed, stay away from these switches.

Affordable switch that can be used perfectly to expand an existing UniFi network.
Plug it in, connect it and have fun.
P.S.: I had no problems with the firmware update.

Depending on the firmware version of the unit, gross errors may occur when updating the unit. According to the manufacturer's website, this problem can be solved by a relatively complex process.
process. Unfortunately, I personally was not able to carry out this process.
I must mention that the Felx mini worked until UNFI OS tried to update it.
If you decide to buy the Flex mini, I recommend first making sure that the Swicht already has updated firmware and that you can handle the remote update process in case of doubt.
I would suggest the Ubiquiti USW-LITE-8-POE (8 ports) as an alternative. I understand that it is significantly more expensive and larger. But it is still small enough to install on a workstation and the 4 POE ports are also a nice to have.

If 0 stars were going, I would give 0 stars!
It is a switch, NOTHING MORE! Can be integrated with the Unifi Controller, but custom switch profiles are NOT possible!
According to a forum post directly from Ubiquiti:
"The Mini has very limited hardware resource, so It won't support tagged VLAN config."

Compact managed 5-port switch, very good price-performance ratio. Shows its strengths only with control under a Unifi controller, but also works perfectly without.
