Xiaomi Mi AIoT Router AC2350
We have a Sunrise internet box in the basement, which then distributes everything to the house network. So the WIFI signal from the Sunrise box is far too weak and slow (we finally got a 1GB line in March - previously only 4mbits) to cover all the rooms in the house. So I wanted to install a fast and strong router in the living area (ground floor). This is where the problems started. First, a Netgear Nighthawk was used - which, despite all efforts - could not be installed. I sent it back and ordered a D-Link DIR 882. With some effort, this one could actually be installed, was fast and relatively strong - but showed dropouts. You often had to switch it off and on again - especially with Apple devices it had its problems. A friend told me to buy a Fritzbox. No sooner said than done. The Fritzbox could be installed, but only wanted to communicate with 1 device. All other clients could not be connected despite correct PW etc. or only alternately. Although I reset the device 3 times to factory settings and then also with the factory settings it was not possible even after several hours to connect the thing. I have then sent back unnerved. Since I am a really satisfied user of a Xiaomi MI9 T smartphone for about 18 months, I got the idea to look at what Xiomi so offers and have ordered this router here. So....App downloaded, router plugged in - 30 seconds later everything ran. Then made a few fine settings with notebook - absolutely no problems and everything ran and runs. Stable. Previously, I had measured the speed and strength of the signals of the D-Link 882 in the house with 2 apps and my phone (and distributed Post-its at the respective places). The measurement afterwards then showed consistently better values. Have now ordered the AX3600 from Xioami. Xiaomi, the future Apple of China....

This is a very good router with very good performance. The software installation is tricky though, means first create user, download app, and then find router, and then configure. OK, goes, wanted to configure it as an access point, only possible with a lot of back and forth.

I had the router up and running and configured in 20 minutes, I was almost underchallenged because the web application for setting up the router was very well designed and coded by Xiaomi.
The router itself looks powerful and is well on its way with 1.7 GBit in the 5Hz range. You can run 2.7Hz and 5Hz at the same time, so two wifi connections at the same time, so to speak. This is a perfect match for IoT (smarthome) devices that only work with 2.7Hz.

Normal performance was under 250Mbps, before I've noticed the CPU supports network offloading - once that was enabled, the performance jumped to around 900Mbps.
So far only snapshot supported, so be aware that updates might be complicated until full support is enabled, but it is working without problem.
Unlike the official firmware, the OpenWRT does not leak IPv6 devices to open internet :)
