The cardioid characteristic makes this microphone ideal for use in the studio for vocal recordings, for miking instruments, as well as for voice applications such as podcasts and online video content. As with the NT1-A, the gold-plated 1-inch microphone capsule delivers an excellent, clear and defined sound. The microphone has an XLR connector with gold-plated contacts as an output. The condenser microphone requires 48V phantom power, which must be supplied by an audio interface or mixing console. The studio microphone has a full metal housing with a scratch-resistant ceramic coating and is therefore very robust and optimally protected. The microphone spider ensures optimum decoupling of the microphone and avoids disturbing background noise such as impact sound. The integrated pop protection of the spider dampens explosive sounds and thus guarantees professional recordings.
