The Realme Pad Mini is not entirely convincing: the display shows pale colours, the speed is slow and the memory is limited. But it only costs 220 euros - and still offers LTE for mobile surfing and an extremely long battery life. This is how it wins the price-performance victory in this test.
Tablets vary greatly in features, quality and price: cheap models cost less than 100 euros, the most expensive more than 1 300 euros. Some tablets offer the latest technology such as OLED screens, 5G mobile communications and fast processors. If you can do without that, you get a little less high-tech, but often a great price-performance ratio.
The competition is manageable, so it would have been easy for Realme to present itself with a good mini-tablet. The manufacturer blew this chance: The display of the Pad mini is not up to date, the speed is low, the software does not run smoothly. After the successful large Realme Pad, the mini version is a disappointment.
