This digital radio receives the new DAB+ radio stations in perfect quality as well as analog FM stations with RDS comfort. All stations can be searched for automatically and easily saved. The built-in speaker offers an astonishing sound richness for its compact size. The Dynamic Range Control allows for listening to classical and other dynamic music quietly, even in the presence of background noise, such as in the garden. The headphone jack provides perfect stereo sound enjoyment. An MP3 player can be connected via the USB port or the analog Aux stereo input.
The solarDAB2 radio is compact, trendy, stylish, and environmentally friendly. The solar panels mounted on the top convert direct sunlight into electricity, allowing the radio to operate independently for up to 27 hours on a single charge. In bad weather or when used indoors or in a caravan, it can also be charged using the included power adapter. Thanks to its compact dimensions and lightweight design, the solarDAB can be easily packed in travel luggage.

Das Hama Digitalradio DIR3100 ist kein Schnäppchen, überzeugte aber im Test mit ordentlichem Klang und umfangreicher Ausstattung - ein verdienter Testsieg. Für den kleineren Geldbeutel empfiehlt sich das Sony XDR-S61D, das nur gut die Hälfte kostet. Der handliche Funkempfänger hat einen brauchbaren Klang und beschallt dank Batteriefach beispielsweise auch das Picknick im Stadtpark.

Das Besonders am Roberts Solardab 2 ist der Betrieb per Solarenergie. Darüber hinaus hat das Digitalradio nur wenige Zusatzfunktionen zu bieten und auch beim Klang macht es nur einen mittelmäßigen Eindruck. Demgegenüber steht jedoch eine gute Empfangsleistung von DAB+ und auch der gute Schutz gegen Funkstörungen.

…Die Klangqualität ist gemessen an dem eingebauten Monotonlautsprecher wirklich gut, denn das klangliche Spektrum ist für Sprache sehr ausgewogen und auch für eine Musikübertragung ertragbar. Wichtig ist zu betonen, dass es über den gesamten Regelbereich der Lautstärke nicht zu einer übermäßig Zunahme von Verzerrungen kommt, die den Höreindruck auf Dauer negativ stören.
