- Large display with good colour reproduction
- High working speed
- Zoom weaknesses
- somewhat slow loading
Technically close to its little brother, but the display makes the difference here too.
- Quick
- decent battery life
- Bright screen
- IP68
- Average charging speed
- High shutter lag
For many, the Galaxy S22 Plus could be a good compromise: The display is large, but not huge, the camera is strong, and the battery is long-lasting enough for most people. Compared to the Ultra models, it lacks the second tenfold telephoto, the S Pen and the design with the slightly curved edge display. The biggest advantage, however, is that it is not too expensive.
The cheaper sister model of the S22 Ultra is a little more compact and lighter, and its display lies flat. The camera system also does without a second telephoto zoom, so you get the classic set-up with three focal lengths. The processor and the modem, on the other hand, are the same, and the differences in radio technology are also very small...
- Balanced equipment
- Short loading times
- High quality workmanship
- Battery life could be longer
- Boring design
With the S22+, Samsung offers a good smartphone with a lot of performance and a camera that is fun to use. If you don't attach too much importance to an extravagant smartphone appearance, but want to use a phone as long and comfortably as possible, you can buy it without hesitation. You will have to make concessions in terms of battery life.
- Fastest S22
- Very bright
- Camera top
- Very stable videos
- 45-watt charging hardly faster
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus is the surprise in the S22 series. The display is large, but not huge - and apart from HDR content, even brighter than in the Ultra. The camera is strong, the battery quite enduring. Like the Ultra, it also offers 45-watt charging and fast WLAN. And the CPU was particularly fast here in the test.
Making phone calls, sending messages, surfing the internet - for most people, everyday life is hardly conceivable without a smartphone. It is therefore all the more important to be able to rely on the devices. The Stiftung Warentest smartphone test answers the question of which model is the test winner and which ones lack stability or basic functions...
