Wie gut die VR-Bildqualität letztlich ist, hängt neben den Inhalten vor allem auch von dem Smartphone ab. Das AMOLED-Display des S8 bringt mit der herausragenden Auflösung von 2960 x 1440 Pixeln beste Voraussetzungen mit. Aufgrund der optischen Vergrößerung auf ein erweitertes Sichtfeld waren die einzelnen Bildpunkte zwar immer noch zu erkennen...
Während das Gestell nahezu unverändert bleibt, macht der neue Controller die Gear VR noch besser. Wer die Brillen nicht an hitzigen Sommertagen benutzt, hat hier mit Abstand das beste mobile VR-Erlebnis. Wer bereits eine Gear VR besitzt, braucht das neue Modell aber nicht. Schließlich ist die Mini-Fernbedienung auch einzeln für gut 30 Euro erhältlich.
