The fast Cinema Prime lens 14mm T3.1 XEEN is suitable for full format, internal focusing, and versatile due to its wide angle of view. Like all XEEN Cinema Prime lenses, the XEEN 14mm T3.1 has a resolution of 4K and is similar in design to the other lenses in this line. This means that the housing diameter and the fixed gear ring distance for the aperture and focus ring are exactly the same for all models. So changing lenses, whether in rig or on tripod, is quick and easy, even with a follow focus system installed. As usual with cinema lenses, this XEEN lens also features a rasterless and continuously adjustable aperture with laterally readable aperture values and distance scale as well as gear rings for focusing with Follow Focus, as a matter of course.

High quality mechanics and processing

Of course, the 14mm T3.1 XEEN can not only be used with cameras that have a full format sensor. Filming is of course also no problem with Super-35mm, APS-C and APS-H camera sensors. The sharpness performance of this lens is impressive even with the aperture fully open and can be precisely controlled over the 200° focus radius.

The lens construction consisting of 13 lenses in 12 groups was built into a robust aluminium tube. The necessary settings on the Follow-Focus or aperture ring are of course infinitely variable and can be attached to all Follow-Focus systems with 0.8 mm gear rim. The 9 aperture blades of the 14mm Cinema lens provide an almost circular bokeh.
