Product details
Extremely high sensitivity, wide dynamic range:
With the ability to adjust sensitivity via ISO 409600 9 plus an extra wide dynamic range, the A7S II can capture images in spectacularly nuanced details
With the ability to adjust sensitivity via ISO 409600 9 plus an extra wide dynamic range, the A7S II can capture images in spectacularly nuanced details
in virtually any lighting condition, from shadows to bright lighting. The remarkable clarity and absence of noise in photos and movies you take help you get the results you want.
Exmor CMOS for even more sensor perception:
Take photos and images with richer, more natural-looking color gradation. The 35mm 10 megapixel sensor achieves a wide dynamic range with very low noise over the entire ISO 50-409600 sensitivity range. Large pixels, seamless lens-on-chip lens structure and other light detection advances enable exceptionally high shutter speeds for shooting in low light conditions.
Intelligent, fast Bionz X image processor:
The Bionz X's new sophisticated image processing algorithm optimizes image sensor performance for superior reproduction of details in photos and movies in all sensitivity ranges. This image processor realizes an extremely finely nuanced image quality with minimum noise, especially in the medium to high sensitivity setting.
S-Gamut3.Cine/S-Log3 and S-Gamut3/S-Log3:
With these new profiles, the dynamic range can be extended up to 1300%, achieving more dynamic gradations and simplifying coloring, correction and handling. S-Log3 Gamma colour nuance improves from shadows to mid-tones (18% grey). The 14-step exposure latitude in the S-Log3 setting is really impressive. S-Gamut3.cine reproduces the wide colour spectrum of the DCI-P3 colour range. S-Gamut3 reproduces almost all current colors that are suitable for archiving.
Movie recording functions improve the professional workflow:
With new features such as 120 frames per second Full HD recording, 4x/5x slow motion recording and Gamma Display Assist, together with the advanced Zebra function, time code/stamp editing and other movie recording functions, the A7S II supports the professional workflow and gives you even more room to realize your moving vision than ever before.
Internal 4K movie recording and XAVC S format:
The A7S II can internally record 4K films (QFHD: 3840 x 2160) in 35mm format. Full pixel reading without pixel binning creates 4K movies with fewer moiré effects and image errors. Support for XAVC S-Format 11 enables extremely detailed 4K recordings at a maximum of 100 Mbps with lower compression noise effects. Internal recording and HDMI output, both in 4K resolution, available in 35mm format.
Fast intelligent AF for low light intensity up to EV-4
With 169 AF points (25 contrast detection points plus nine central AF points, each divided into 16 segments, 25+(9x16) in total), this fast, precise system ensures the precision of scene recognition when shooting, even at low light levels down to EV-4, and the AF speed for shooting Full HD movies is twice as fast as that of the A7S.

Very good90/100
