This compact and lightweight Vario-Tessar E-mount zoom lens with 16 - 35 mm focal length from Zeiss offers outstanding performance for full-frame cameras. A versatile zoom range, coupled with built-in
optical image stabilisation, makes it the ideal choice for snapshots, indoor shots, group shots, landscape shots and more, especially when connected to a full-frame α7 series housing. A constant maximum F4 aperture makes exposure easier and provides more depth of field. This compact wide-angle zoom lens covers a convenient focal length range and offers excellent image quality, especially in combination with a full-frame sensor such as the one used in the α7 camera series. The legendary Zeiss quality packaged in this fast 50mm lens also ensures first-class resolution and contrast thanks to the T* coating. MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) is a function that indicates how well a lens can reproduce fine details - measured as contrast ratio.

Insgesamt kann das Objektiv durchaus überzeugen und ist dabei auch sehr gut ausgestattet. Spritzwasserschutz, ein flotter AF sowie eingebauter Bildstabilisator sind hier mit an Bord. Die Auflösung ist bis auf ein paar kleine Schwächen sehr hoch sowie konstant. Nur die Ränder links sowie rechts könnten bei der mittleren Brennweite etwas schärfer sein, wobei auch Vignettierung ein Problem offen ist...
