The first 70 - 300 mm e-mount zoom lens offers outstanding resolution across the entire image range. The minimum focus distance of only 0.9 m allows breathtaking, detailed close-ups.
Integrated SteadyShot image stabilization compensates for camera shake throughout the zoom range, and an advanced linear actuator provides fast, accurate autofocus. In addition, the lens is resistant to dust and moisture. A range from 70mm to 300mm covers a wide range of subjects, from portraits and landscapes to sports and nature. When used with an APS-C camera, 300 mm becomes a 450 mm Super Tele focal length. Sony's unique G Lens balances outstanding resolution with a fabulous background bokeh that opens up new artistic perspectives for the photographer. MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) is a function that indicates how well a lens can reproduce fine details - measured as contrast ratio.
