Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS, E-Mount

The FE PZ 28-135 mm F4 G Oss (SELP28135G) was developed using the latest and most advanced technologies. The lens is extremely powerful and offers almost limitless creative possibilities. The E-Mount lens is compatible with all system cameras and camcorders with E-Mount. When used with full-frame cameras, the new lens covers a focal length of 28 to 135 millimeters. If used in front of an APS-C sensor, the focal length shifts in the range between 42 and 202.5 millimeters. Therefore it is also attractive for users of α, α, NEX-FS700 or PXW-FS7.

No matter whether 28 to 135 millimeters or 42 to 202.5 millimeters: The aperture is constant with F4 over the entire focal length range. Thus, photographers and filmers can skilfully crop motifs and direct the viewer's gaze to the essentials. Especially when zooming, aperture and time remain stable if desired.

The SEL-P28135G therefore takes three typical hurdles when it comes to video filming during sleep: changes in the image angle during focusing ("pumping") are reduced to a minimum by a precise, internal focusing mechanism. The SEL-P28135G eliminates small shifts in the focus plane that can occur during zooming by means of a special tracking correction. The new lens effectively prevents lateral movements of the optical axis during zooming - the length of the lens remains constant at all focal lengths. It does not change the perspective when focusing.

Thanks to aspherical lenses, the image quality is perfect in every focal length range. Chromatic aberration is specifically suppressed. The special coating of the lenses ("Advanced Multi-Coating") enhances the contrasts and suppresses unwanted glare effects - even in strong backlighting.
