On the software side, the Strong receiver is similar to the Sky Vision device. It cannot record TV programmes either, its internet applications are limited to RSS feeds and a decent weather app. It does not support HbbTV and Internet streams are not loaded. At least these can be easily banned from the sortable channel list...

At first you don't notice it because the Strong is quite a bit bigger. But technically it is the same as the Sky Vision. The buttons on the remote control are arranged a little differently, and the operating instructions are printed even smaller. Otherwise, the same applies as with the Sky Vision: no beautiful menus and meagre features, but a good picture and no problems in everyday use.

In terms of sound, the Strong SRT 8540 is a very good choice, and in terms of picture quality, the DVB-T2 receiver in HD achieves a good rating. The very good reception sensitivity is also one of the strengths of the receiver, as are the very good environmental characteristics. These are apparent in the form of very good workmanship, very quiet operation and, last but not least, very low power consumption...

Less can really be less. Strong does without any comfort and concentrates on very good reception characteristics and a great TV picture quality.
