The Synology DiskStation DS1517+ features a quad-core processor with an AES-NI hardware encryption module, delivering excellent performance even with encryption. Enhance your storage further with the optional M.2 SSD adapter card for two SSD cache drives. The DS1517+ is the ideal storage solution for centralized data backup, protecting critical assets, and sharing files across various platforms. The Synology DS1517+ comes with a 3-year limited warranty from Synology.

The DS1517+ can be expanded to up to 15 drives with two Synology DX517 expansion units, allowing you to start small and easily scale your storage solution as your needs grow. The PCIe slot supports the optional PCIe M.2 SSD adapter card M2D17 for two M.2 SATA SSD slots, which can be used as SSD cache for significantly improved storage performance without occupying 3.5" drive bays. Additionally, the PCIe slot allows the DS1517+ to be expanded with 10GbE network interface cards.
