Professional Background for Studio Applications  
The background paper from Walimex pro features a non-reflective surface, making it perfectly suitable for professional use in the photo studio. With a paper weight of 160 g/m², the background is durable and ideal for daily use. Each background paper is wrapped around a sturdy cardboard core, ensuring that the studio background remains smooth and does not crease or sag. The ends are protected with transport security for easy transportation.

Chroma Keying or Color Keying  
Due to its base color, the background is also ideal for chroma keying, also known as bluescreen or greenscreen, depending on the color. This technique uses a color that is generally uncommon in people, furniture, and clothing as a background to assign an alpha channel to the captured image. The alpha channel defines the transparency of each pixel. In short, the background can be automatically recognized by the computer in post-production based on its color. The corresponding pixels can then be assigned full transparency, effectively removing the background from the image. The freed areas can then be replaced with any other background. When using the background for chroma keying, it is important to ensure that the subject does not contain the same or a similar color as the background, and that the background is evenly lit.

Background on Hand for Long-Term Use  
After use, the background can be rolled back onto the sturdy core. If the background becomes unusable after extended use, the corresponding piece can simply be cut off, and fresh paper can be unrolled.
