The HD Powerline Adapter PLA5456 delivers data rates of up to 1800 Mbps over the power line. This allows home users to stream multiple HD streams simultaneously throughout the house, play multiplayer games, or use other applications—all without additional cable installations. Innovative Quality of Service (QoS) features enhance the quality of triple-play services, HD video streaming, and VoIP telephony.

The 1800 Mbps Powerline Gigabit Ethernet adapters come with two Gigabit Ethernet ports. Users simply plug in two plug-and-play adapters into the corresponding outlets to create a stable, high-performance network.

When the network is not in use, the new Powerline adapters automatically switch to energy-saving mode, reducing power consumption by up to 85% compared to adapters without this feature.

The latest generation of Powerline adapters is compatible with all ZyXEL HomePlug AV-200 products and can be easily used alongside older generation adapters. However, it should be noted that in a heterogeneous network, only the speed of the slower device can be achieved.

The maximum data transmission rate is derived from the HomePlug AV2 standard. The actual data transmission rate depends on the network environment: distance, network traffic, interference on electrical cables, quality of electrical installation, and other impairments.
