After receiving the PS5 (if this is still possible at all), I will avoid digitec for pre-orders and also no longer recommend it to others. What is being pulled off here can't be right. Even MM was able to find more consoles for the release date. But no, Digitec doesn't even give any information on whether the pre-ordered consoles will even be delivered this year. Very disappointed in this shop.
It's unbelievable what Digitec did with the preorders.
Maybe it's really Sony's fault, but a company HAS TO communicate with customers.

I fully understand the criticism. For me, it is absolutely incomprehensible (from the customer's point of view) why Digitec does not make a statement to reassure the customers. After all, there are a lot of people who have already paid and now simply don't receive any information on how things will continue; whether they will receive a PS5 with the next delivery or not yet. I'm sure Digitec is simply keeping quiet here for technical sales reasons. The fear that people will cancel their purchase if they are not included in the second delivery seems to be huge. But transparency is EVERYTHING these days. In the future, I too will no longer place pre-orders with Digitec. Unfortunately, the customer service has deteriorated badly. But one is not used to that from the ever larger monopolists (an exception is the large Swedish furniture chain).

Germany is almost finished with the pre-orders - maybe one or two PS5s will fall off for Digitec's super supplier? Ah wait, after Mediamarkt, Interdiscount & co of course.

Well, Digitec itself can't do much about the chaos, but what I clearly criticise is the communication.
I have to disagree with you here. Because in September I was told in the mail that I wouldn't get a PS5 on 19.11.20. I didn't get one. After that it got funny, because the delivery status kept changing. Sometimes it said "the day after tomorrow", then "no details", back and forth.
I wrote to Digitec and got the answer that this was a mistake and that they could follow the instructions in the September mail. On 19.11.20 at 21:00, I received an email that my package was on its way. The postman arrived on Saturday lunchtime. Now I already have a PS5, even though I was always told that I had ordered too late. So on 19.11.20 Digitec still found the devices and sent them.
...and how do you know how many consoles MM had? I think your statement is pretty far-fetched. In the night of 17.09. Digitec has activated the pre-orders and that without pre-information, that is the only thing you can accuse Digitec of, everything else was communicated by mail and also on the HomePage. So always stay relaxed...
I don't think they can foresee everything and give information if they don't have any new data yet. It would be absurd to publish information when they don't know anything more. There will be reasons why they can't find more, but it's no reason to hold Digitec responsible.
Reading the whining here is just damn funny. Apparently certain people have no other problems hehe.
