Connected to the Macbook Pro (Big Sur) via USB-C, the Asus ZenDrive always takes between one and five minutes until an inserted CD is recognised and the motor starts up. Until that happens, something clicks inside the device every second or so, which I assume is the laser head desperately searching for the beginning of the track. Does it have to be like that, or should it be a bit faster and more reliable?
