Do any of the models also work with a car radio?
Hello Luniiiiiii
Unfortunately your question cannot be answered in general and not for all modern car radio models. :-(
Even if a car radio has more and more functionality of a computer (even if it contains a minimalist Windows OS or Linux OS), it is not always guaranteed that all external USB hardware will work. Because it also needs a compatible hardware driver in every case (mostly included with Win 8, Win 8.1, and Win 10).
Ultimately, you have to try it out or ask the manufacturer or support if USB Bluetooth dongles are generally possible for your car radio.
They are always upward and downward compatible in terms of the USB version. In the case of upward compatibility, the maximum speed of USB 2.0 can be reached, as in this case. If your car radio had USB 1.0, for example, you could only use this speed. It may well be that you can establish a BT connection with your smart phone to the car radio. Unfortunately, I can't tell you conclusively what kind of signal would then be transmitted. It would depend on the specifications and technical possibilities of your radio. Ideally, you would be able to transfer music from your mobile phone via BT, similar to a USB stick, and then listen to it via the car stereo. But it depends on what you want to transfer with the TP-Link? I hope that was helpful. Thank you for your attention and greetings
