do i connect the single cable needed to the slot on the motherboard that says pump_fan since watercoolers like this use pumps, or do i connect it to the cpu_fan pins because it should be communicating with the cpu temperature? so far i connected it to the pump_fan pins and it seems to be doing fine. would you recommend plugging it in to the cpu_fan pins on the mainboard?

Helpful answer

As per instruction you should connect the one cable to the CPU_FAN pins abd set it up as PWM controlled in BIOS. I am not sure how your motherboard is configured, but the PUMP header usually by default runs at 100% (normally also PWM), so by connecting to the cpu fan header you might lower the noise.

One thing to watch out for is not to run this as voltage controlled.

(If you feel adventurous, you can also buy a 4 wire y-splitter and run the 140mm fans from the CPU header and the pump from the AIO PUMP header)

I have a question for you as well: does the small vrm fan work for you? in my case it never turned on so i returned it on warranty.
