I'm not sure at the moment what kind of discount NIKON is offering on this lens? But I am sure that this lens is not available for less than Fr. 1'050.- to 1'100.- at the moment.
Price-performance for this lens is very good. I paid about Fr. 1'500.- 3 years ago.
