Question about Microsoft Surface Dock 2

Hello Digitec Community I have owned the MS Dock 2 in combination with the MS Surface Book 3 for 2 years. Unfortunately, I always have the problem that one screen does not become active when I switch on or wake up. (Mostly always the one that is not the main screen). I control the screens via 2 USB-C to HDMI adapters (https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/satechi-usb-c-zu-hdmi-20-cm-data-video-adapter-10093784?supplier=406802), and then with HDMI to HDMI to the monitors (both Dell S2421H). Now I'm thinking of another alternative that can wake up both monitors directly. Without having to reconnect the USB-C or HDMI cable to the dock or the monitor itself every time. Does anyone know of a working alternative? Because I don't want to spend money on the wrong one and have to invest again. Thank you in advance for any tips.

Switching to a USB-C to Displayport cable might help if your monitors have Display Port. The USB-C-HDMI adapter is active (one device in between, the usb-c - displayport cable is direct so you have eliminated one source of error.

I also had this problem. Try deleting the display chat and then reconnecting. https://download.microsoft.com/download...

Hello

I also have a Dock 2 and also had a problem with the recognition of the USB ports (but I can't remember exactly what).

I solved the problem by installing a power strip with a switch. I use it to switch off both the monitors and the dock. The quasi-restart of the dock apparently solves the problem.

Hope this works for you.
