Yes, but you should then switch off the WLAN from the Sunrise router. This means you also need a mesh WLAN access point where the router is located.
You can switch the set from router mode to WLAN access point mode in the app. As already mentioned, the powerline performance is not so good.

In principle yes, however I found the performance to be not optimal. The powerline in this item works on only 2 cables (AV1000) and in my case (2nd floor to basement) it could not connect the remote router, then I returned the item. Sorted out with a Devolo Magic 2, that works with 3 cables. It is now not very fast (20-80MB/s), but sufficient for the smart appliances.
