Hello together, I want to put the hotspot in the car, where it would always be connected to the USB port. But I don't want to have to switch it on manually all the time. Does anyone know if it comes on automatically from standby when the charger is connected and it is charging? Thank you very much!

Connect a power bank in between to bridge the auto standby time.

Depending on whether your USB plug in the car switches off with the ignition or not:

1) If there is no more voltage on your USB, the unit will continue to run at POWER SAVING OFF until the router battery is empty and does not need button operation, provided the charging voltage comes back before then. POWER must be pressed if the router battery was empty.

POWER SAVING ON with WIFI DISABLE TIME will switch off the WIFI from the unit (e.g. you can set the unit to switch off the WIFI signal after 10 minutes without client connections). In this case, MENU or POWER must be pressed to switch WIFI back on.

2) If USB power is always present, the unit and WIFI will remain switched on (even if Power Saving is set to ON). The unit therefore only needs to be switched on for the first time with the POWER button (at least as long as the car battery does not run down :-)

See also the thick operating instructions on the TP-LINK website.

Kind regards
