The display is now disappointingly pixelated. Can anyone help me here? Importantly, I only want to connect the device via USB-C.

There is an option in the monitor menu that controls the USB-C mode. Either focus data or focus display quality. (The name may be different). If you select quality, 100hz will also work.

60 Hz is not a problem, I also use it. Have you set the screen resolution to 3440 x 1440?
