Hi, I wanted to ask if this ssd reader reads the ssd of a macbook air the mac model is A1406 and the SSD model is MZ-CPA0640 / 0A2

I don't know, but the IB-183M2 is an mSATA enclosure, not an NVMe one. The MZ-CPA0640 looks like it's mSATA as well, so it should work.
