I am a little confused. Is this a repeater according to the device name or is it an access point - i.e. bridge LAN/WLAN? I want to set up a mesh WLAN for a 3-storey house at home and wonder whether this is the right product for the basic setup and what I can use to expand it... Any advice is welcome

Both and. You can configure the device the way you need it and mesh works fine for me.
