I bought the monitor and installed it. Actually a good device, but what bothers me massively is a "font ghosting" when text/articles are scrolled in the browser (e.g. Firefox with any news page). When scrolling, a short, white flashing of the letter contours appears around the letters. I noticed this because I still own an ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q and it doesn't have this effect at all, no matter what settings are used. How can I massively reduce the effect?
I have the same problem, and not only in Firefox. You have to disable hdr in Windows on this screen, it creates this ghosting effect. Normally in games enabling HDR is not a problem. If this kind of effect appears, you should try to change the mode from HDR10 to shdr (not available on Windows)
I was able to reduce it massively by setting the hertz number in Windows to 144 Hz. This is not due to the Asus monitors but to the IPS technology. You don't get that with VA, but the colours are pale and not strong.
I have exactly the same problem, never managed to get rid of it. This problem means that the next screens will clearly not be Asus.
