I have a free m.2 slot. The other m.2 has an nvme gen 3x4 in it. I therefore assume the gen3x4 standard for my free m.2 slot. Is this ssd therefore compatible?

Hello,
Thank you very much for your request.
If your motherboard has an M.2 slot, you can use this SSD.
To be able to use the full performance of the SSD, the M.2 slot should have PCIe 3.0 with 4 lanes.
If in doubt, please contact the device manufacturer directly.
Best regards from Schwalbach,
Your Samsung Service Team
You cannot simply assume that all slots are the same. It does not matter what is in the other slot - this SSD must only be compatible with its own slot. Please read the description of the motherboard to find out exactly what M2 slots are available - unfortunately, speculation does not help.
