I have an older version (A1379) of this device. It doesn't work when connected via a hub (not even with an active hub), so only directly on the Macbook (with adapter USB-A to USB-C). Does anyone know if this is still the case with the above model? Respectively, is there a CD player/writer that can be controlled via an active USB hub for a Mac? - thank you!
