Question about Delock HDMI Audio 5.1 Extractor
I need just such a device, as most of the films I stream have a DTS soundtrack. As you know, Sonos Beam only supports Dolby Digital (AC3). Have I understood correctly that I can connect the Delock Audio Extractor to my SAMSUNG distribution box to the HDMI ARC connection and connect the Beam to the HDMI out of the Extractor? In this way, the 5.1 system would always reproduce true surround, regardless of the soundtrack of the film source.

I use the Extractor for exactly the same reason. Even if the film has DTS. The Delock extracts the incoming signal via HDMI and forwards it via SPDIF to the Sonos Playbar.

but i decided to use a different product to keep the 60hz picture quality. i also need it to send the picture to the beamer and the sound to the sonos beam.
i bought this device:

it is important to note that a usb plug is required for the power supply. it is also important to note that the device (both) does not always start on its own.
why ever... the devices must both be switched on and off again.
I solved this with a switchable socket.
