I would like to connect a Klipsch R-101SW subwoofer to improve the bass performance of the Philips 65OLED908 TV. The Philips has a special subwoofer pre-out cinch connection for this, whereas the Klipsch R-101 SW has two line-in cinch connections (L and R) whereby the left one is also labelled as LFE. Question: Is it correct that I only need to connect the LFE to the TV in this case?

In my opinion yes. Depending on the frequency cut from the TV, you can still tune it lower down from the Sub with its crossover low pass filter. And yes , LFE clinch is the right connector the only thing could be that the sub is overshooting bass compared with the power of the TV loudspeaker. To me it looks a bit unbalanced , much powered bass vs. a kind of weak power TV set

Yes, but as I already wrote in another answer. Before buying the subwoofer, read the manual for the TV and the R-101SW, as there are often other settings that need to be taken into account to ensure that the sound is good. Link to manual in my other answer.
