I would like to operate the projector via my Logitech Harmony remote control. However, the projector has a Bluetooth remote control. This cannot be "taught" like an infrared remote control (IR). Does anyone have any advice?

Hello,

I would recommend you and everyone else to solve the whole thing with an Apple TV ~€100 or a Fire TV Stick ~€35, for example.

Background. In principle, there is nothing wrong with the software or the remote control of the device itself, but this way everything works like clockwork, especially with regard to the compatibility of the apps, and you can certainly also import your Logitech FB with one of the devices.

I myself have used an Apple TV 4K, you should make sure to use a high quality 4K cable with at least 60 Hz and HDR capable,

(if you want to use this with the projector, it will then be quite a bit darker, but with the right screen it is still worthwhile, I found the effects for example in Game of Thrones, e.g. fire flares in the dark very worth seeing, or the wow effect was definitely there, during the day with certain light incidence, I would not use the HDR, unless you darken completely.;))

Back to the adjustments.
Adjusting the HDMI input of the projector itself and the resolution and colour space of the Apple TV worked perfectly and the remote control of the Apple TV automatically controls the projector as well as the Apple TV, volume, app control, voice assistant etc..

I had no problems at all from the beginning, maybe you can get it to work with the Chinese software, but an Apple TV has certain advantages anyway, and why not use the whole thing.

And let's be honest, if you have €1000 to spare for the projector, why save this relatively small amount for a high and uncomplicated level of comfort? Of course, everyone has to know that for themselves.

I am very satisfied with my Samsung TV set, the Samsung projector, which probably has the same software, would not necessarily need this upgrade, although I have already got used to the Apple TV in a very positive way.

By the way, you can also use the remote control from the projector for the Apple TV, just as an aside.

Have fun with the device:)
