Question about Xiaomi Wi-Fi Range Extender Pro
I would wonder if this is an "extender" or a "repeater". In other words, does it actually amplify my existing network or does it simply generate a new one?
In my case, the device picks up the existing signal and amplifies it (at a weak point). You can then give the "new" WiFi a new name. It works well but a weak signal is only amplified minimally, in absolute terms (in my case from approx. 12Mbit upload to 22Mbit).
