I'm looking for a router for a relatively remote location where the signal is there, but not so strong. Salt would be best. But I don't actually need such high data rates. Is it still worth taking a slightly more expensive router like this one (with external antenna connection) or can I just as well take a cheaper product (data rate up to 150Mb)?

Helpful answer

It's definitely better to pay a little more. I had the previous smaller model and had difficulties.

It all depends on whether you need a portable modem router with battery or without.
This one is already an old model that can only support max 3G-4G-4G+ "LTE".

I advise you the new generation compatible 4G-5G
Acer Enduro Connect M3
Zyxel NR2301
ZTE MU5001

Or 220v mains power with the option of using an external 12v battery to be adapted yourself
ZTE MC801A HyperBox
Xiaomi 5G CPE Pro
TP-Link Deco X50-5G Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Router AX3000 (1-pack)

My Hawk is not being used. I later bought a Huawei for under €200 with the two antenna connections with directional antennas you mentioned and put it into operation. I get 12MB/s with it. Enough for watching TV/films. That's all I can manage here in Piedmont on the edge of a small village. Works quite reliably. Only in very heavy rain can the connection be interrupted. Good luck!
