It was possible to remove the heat sink from the one I bought in 2023. If you are not sure whether you have enough space in the notebook, it is better to order without the heat sink. Because there are special screws, the elements are clamped together and the card is glued in. There is therefore a risk of damaging something when removing it.

Why do you want to do that? It should always be used with a heatsink anyway, and if you want to install one yourself, you can buy the version without a heatsink.
