The docking station has a chargeable USB-C connection for the notebook. When using an adapter, you should make sure that it is chargeable, otherwise you will have to connect the power source separately to the notebook.
I use the docking station with a DELL XPS13 and an HP Elitebook. - Most of the time it works wonderfully, but now and then I have short wobbles. (but so far not too often and therefore bearable...)
