Question about Sonos Port

Layman's question: I have an old Pro-Ject record player (gift, unfortunately I don't know the exact model) and use the Pro-Ject Phono Box E to bring the sound to my old (entry-level) stereo system. Now I want to expand the whole thing with the Sonos Port so that I can also listen to records on my Sonos system. Does this work in this setup? If yes, what about the volume? If not, what additional devices do I need for this? Thank you very much for your experience reports.

Answer from a layman (also): I have just (today 3.11.20) added a Sonos Port and a Sonos Move to my old stereo system (over 30 years old) with Philips amplifier and Technics record player. The whole system works without any problems. The record player remains connected to the Philips amplifier.

Good day, it is important that the record player has a built-in preamplifier, otherwise it does not work or one must be inserted! Otherwise it works perfectly, installation is easy, sound is great, practical operation. Greetings M
