Only after receiving the remote control and several failed attempts to pair it with the GOPRO HERO 9 delivered at the same time do I realise that the control is only compatible up to and with HERO 8. Is there an update or a new control?

There is a new remote control that is still not available on digitec.

The old remote control is not compatible, and probably won't be with updates.
Your options are to look for an app on your smartphone, certain smartwatches (e.g. samsung gear sport, I read), or the new remote.
