Since the WH-1000XM4 no longer has aptX and aptX HD, it is now even better to buy the WH-1000XM3 if you have players that have aptX or aptX HD and no LDAC.

I have a NAD M10 receiver/streamer that can send aptX HD. With the "old" WH-1000XM3, the sound is high-resolution and crystal-clear. So it makes no sense to buy the new Sony and give up aptX HD.
