Question about Apple SuperDrive
The drive is not recognised by my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020). Do I need an additional cable? Could it be this Apple USB Type C to USB 3.1, 5 cm cable for CHF 23.00?
No, the drive should work with the built-in USB-A port. I just tested mine on an iMac 2019 (with macOS Ventura 13.1) and had to look for a DVD ;) The drive appears in my built-in "System Information" application under Hardware > USB > USB 3.1 Bus as "Apple USB SuperDrive".
